In Ayurvedic forehead oil pouring, also called forehead pouring, head pouring (shiro = head, dhara = river) flows in a continuous stream from a height of about 8 to 10 cm heated oil mixed with herbs. According to Ayurveda, this application can calm the entire vegetative nervous system and have a pleasant harmonizing effect.
